Eczema natural cures
Eczema is a disease that has a number of natural remedies using special treatment procedures, natural ointments, creams and medication. The natural methods also include use of tropical medicines, compensatory nutrition, probiotics and fatty acid oils or gels like the GLA (Gamma linolenic acids). Eczema is a common disease, especially in the tropics and is not fatal. However, Eczema can be potentially severe. Remedies for the disease come in a variety of forms and should be used preferably after consultation and skin tests.
The natural remedies of Eczema- Topical medicines - Herbal extracts are the main components of a topical medicine that typically cures Eczema. Most of the herbal medicines have been put into studies and proved greatly effective with close to 100 percent success in treating different grades of Eczema. The usage of herbs like chamomile and licorice is common. Chamomile should be used carefully as it is believed to cause allergic contact dermatitis.
- Probiotics - Probiotics are bacteria which have a beneficial effect on the human body. The pattern of their behavior includes suppressing the growth of harmful bacteria, as a result strengthening the immune system of the host (patient) and reducing risks of Eczema to the baby. Pregnant women, who are prone to Eczema, are advised probiotic treatment which has been found greatly successful in treating Eczema in infants as well. Use of probiotic medication needs to be consulted with a medical professional. Immunity deficient children are advised not to take probiotic medication.
- GLA - Similar to primrose oil and used for treating Eczema, GLA is heavy with essential nutrients like the fatty acid. Fatty acids are the primary nutrients for the skin that can make the skin get back its health in the affected area. The blood flow and its reach to the skin being okay, local application of an external ointment can be adequate. However, applying a gel to an Eczema affected area can be tedious due to the sensitivity of the skin. Borage oil also is an equivalent stretch of remedy. Administration of the gels should be carried out with medically deft hands.
- Adding nutrients to skin - Adding nutrients to skin can be carried out in a number of ways at home. Some are basic ways like moisturizing your skin and preventing it from itching or developing redness and inflammation. Other ways of treatment can include using nutrient rich substances like oat-meals to feed the skin. A few methods of controlling Eczema by adding nutrients directly to skin are:
- Moisturizing - Keeping the skin moisturized with creams, lotions and oils can be done without having to stick to one particular bottle or brand. The best times to use moisturizers are before sleep in the night and in the morning soon after waking up.
- Oats - Oat meals are available in the market. A way to use it for you skin would be to mix the contents into your bathing water for the water to absorb the nutrients, and make itself rich with nourishment for the skin. It is important to use a sufficient amount oat meal in the water, making for enough concentration to have effect on the infected area. Two cups of oat meal is adequate for one person's bathing.

The recipe includes 1 tea spoon of each crushed to be mixed with boiling water for a little over 30 minutes. After the mixture cools, it can be used to treat Eczema very effectively, as a skin wash or by draining the infected area with it. The effect of this may not be a completely itch-free skin, but can bring about considerable comfort. Sandalwood is also a good source of Eczema medication - if it is pasted and applied on the affected area.
- Herbal soap for Eczema - Soaps made from olive or vegetables can be used to make an improvised mixture, which can be cast to solidify in a convenient box for later usage as soap. The mixture would be added with chopped herbs very finely done, a small bowl of oat meal and a special oil available for Eczema treatment, all heated up and melted to mix well.
- Mustard oil - Mustard oil heated in an iron vessel, and chopped Neem leaves mixed in it can be effective for Eczema. The mixture is prepared with the Neem leaves being allowed to turn black and filtering the oil into a safe container to be applied 4 times in a day.
