Eczema symptoms

Eczema is a disease whose symptoms are primarily related to the skin although the affecting germs, toxins and chemicals can enter the body through other tracks like the digestive system, respiratory system or even through the skin directly. Whatever be the tract of infection, the primary symptoms of the disease begin with itching, redness of skin and an increasing level of irritation, with the disease progressing to severe levels, although not fatal.

Other symptoms of Eczema can vary between skin swelling, cracking, crusting, scaling, rashes, blisters and ulcers. These symptoms can vary between different patients. The affected parts of skin can be any body part including the face, neck, forehead, arms, legs and waist.

The various symptoms of Eczema which can have various reasons

Itching skin - You can be experiencing an itching skin syndrome in the initial phases of contracting Eczema. The reasons for this symptom can be various.   • Medical conditions - health conditions which have rash heavy syndromes, pregnancy, blister-causing conditions, allergies, hives and hay fever can be possible itching preconditions of Eczema.

Different types of Eczema which differ in symptoms
  • Vericose (or Stasis) Eczema - This is a type of Eczema with a highly itching irritations. Vericose Eczema is perhaps the type of Eczema that causes an itching skin the most. The skin can be marred with red bumps, larger in size than those occurring in case of Atopic Eczema. Legs tend to bear swelling marks and can be embarrassing for many. This is a more severe form of Eczema and is seen to occur in older patients. That makes Vericose Eczema a disease that needs ideal medical care.
  • Nummular (or Discoid) Eczema - This type of Eczema is less common than other types. A tendency of the development circular rashes in various body parts is observed in some patients. The circular rashes develop less frequently on the legs, although ankles and the skin exposed to footwear are vulnerable to developing Nummular Eczema.   • Dyshidrotic (or Pompholyx) Eczema - This is also a less common type and develops with blisters filled with fluids. The tendency to develop this kind of Eczema is more on the palms and under the feet. This usually happens as a result of using hands for labor work and using unclean material from which toxins and bacteria are possible sources. Developing Dyshidrotic Eczema under the feet can be due to similar reasons as that for the palms, but can also occur due to wearing footwear for long hours in humid conditions or varying weathers conditions.
